Can anyone tell me how long the boot is on a wagon?
Hi All,
I'm trying to decide if a wrx sportwagon is going to be big enough for my requirements.
Does anyone know, or could anyone measure, the length between the back of the passenger seat and the boot lid, and also the diagonal from passenger side through to the opposite corner too.
if anyone can help i'd be eternally greatful!
thanks

Slip,
I`ll measure in the morning if nobody has gone out tonite ! Just picked up MY05 WRX wagon 16000 miles today; very pleased and very different to MY09 Legacy D Ren. Fights going on over who drives what in this house.

I know with the seats folded down 39 " and 5 foot length
Too small to sleep in unless your a shortass but ample space for washing machine or fridge
Very practical car and sounds great decatted with the back seats folded down to apreciate the noise

Had those wheels 8 years now
They came from Stan palmers and I got them at NBO 1
Genuine Subaru wheels were £1400 at retail think I paid £600 for them
Look great and going to get them refurbished soon
They suit the car really well
A wagon is a really practical car and has the height advantage too

Without going and opening the garage and actually measuring it from folded base to roofline it's actualy 3-4 inches higher then lots of comparable hatches I know when I used to carry lots of furniture and a washing machine it was even slightly higher then the octavia I used to have and it's a lot bigger then my new hatch although I do like the design on the new hatch with the one fold seats and don't need to take of the rear headrests and have to slide the front seats forward a couple of inches
It's a bit worrying we are talking about practical things instead of performance
Another good use of a hatch is being in the screw loose group in our quite country runs in the country

Here you can clearly see how high the roofline is and I'm 6 foot headroom and carrying capacity is fantastic

Americans and the elderly use inches, don`t they ?!!! (and chippies) on MY05, rear seats down; front 2 back with front seat forward = 164cm; seat back=145cm. max diagonally 190cm. Rear seats up, front 2 back at floor level = 90cm, at seat tops =60cm. Diagonally with seats up from wheel arch to corner =123cm. width at floor 133cm max, 92cm between arches. All approx, could get more lengh by winding front seats forward. Hope this helps.

Is the roof on a wagon actually higher than the saloon/coupe? I thought the body shell was the same except for the back end?
