A friend has a Caterham Academy for sale. Raced last year, very basic inside (ie no doors carpet, heater, passenger seat etc)
seats can be arranged, car has Vauxhall 1600 on twin Webers, live axle, in Green with a yellow stripe down the bonnet and around the nose cone, very well built, on Minilite style alloys (well I would say that I built it )
Although we raced it last year, it hasn't had an accident, and apart from a cracked rear wing (which has been repaired) the car is perfect, strong engine that puts out 101 bhp (dyno plot available) also very light at 525kg.
Best bit about the car is the Reg, we didn't SVA it until the end of the season so its on a X reg, its advertised at Arrowstar Racing for £10,000, will take an offer.
email me if your interested, and if your near Bicester (off M40) we can sort out a test drive. 100bhp might not sound a lot but the power to weight is better than a scoob.
Just for Pete Lewis , the Alloys are silver

John I have about £6k to spend. It will be used for runing about when the sun comes out (if it ever does) the rest of the time i am in my scooby. I will do the odd track day but that is not the prime reason for the car. The car must have adjustable seats so my wife can use it as well. She is 5ft4 and i am 6ft. I think i would like a wide version in yellow as my first choise. I would also prefer it to have full weather gear just in case!

Good topic.
I WILL be interested in a Westie in a few years time - current thinking anyway! £6-7K is going to be my budget - what kind of car can I expect for that?
John, hope you're well mate and I look forward to seeing you soon!
