I'm picking up my first jdm (sti type r v5) at wknd and don't want to drive with the controller in the wrong position if it can damage the diff. Can anyone shed any light please

I have mine set on the 2nd green light and its fine. but if you have it on the wrong position it can cause the rear wheels to kind of skid when taking off. It can do damage when its in the wrong position afaik.

Cheers mate. When i took it for a test drive i noticed on full lock it seemed to scrub sideways on the tyres. It has 17" alloys instead of the 16's but couldn't see it rubbing. does the diff controller have any bearing on full lock?

Wouldnt run it on full lock for long periods of time, best in the green for every day driving, move forward to say the first or second orange if your pushing it in the wet, the topic in the archive should give you some good info on how to use it properly
