Going to be needing a new clutch in my 2004 53 plate wrx sti type uk soon

After some advice as to what to get

Car has just been mapped by duncan and is producing 330 ish horse according to him so need some advice as to what to get

Either need to take it to somewhere to do it job lot or just buy a clutch and get a friend to fit it!!!!

Is it an engine out job on these or does the gearbox come out??

Thanks in advance

Gearbox needs dropping, engine doesn't have to come out. I'd only get a friend to fit it if he's done it before. Whilst it's not rocket science these cars can be temperemental, with adjustment required after fitting in some cases. Exedy are a popular upgrade, might be an idea to get a lightweight flywheel too.

I'm changing mine for a second time. Prefer to go the engine out route, but that's only because I have an engine hoist. An exedy organic clutch should see you ok. It should be half a days work to pull the engine, swap the clutch and drop the engine back in.
