Default Standard recirc valve

Ok so everyone on here's been harpin on about replacing the hks ssqv that came with the car when I bought it for the standard one. Although I didn't think these were a problem on these cars!!?? My question is where can I pick a standard one up from?

Thanks

It's more personal preference than a problem, I ran a vta for a while but changed back to the standard item, I found the car much smoother between gear changes with the standard recirc valve compared to a vta so have left it on!

In terms of where to get one from, try a breaker, or look on here they often pop up

It's just that on more than one occasion I've been told that 'aftermarket dump valves will do my car no favours in the long run' and I've noticed that this problem I'm having while accelerating (pulsing acceleration) the valve sounds when as it pulses so I'm wondering if the problem is the bov is not holding boost?

You should be able to buy a standard recirc valve for £15 - £20, then you can swap your hks over (5 min job) and see if it is the dump valve causing your problem

+ 1.

VTA/BOV are a waste of time. I lost count how many VTA/BOV's dual devices and recircs I have been through.

IAs above the recirc makes for a nicer and dare I say it quicker car (gear changes etc).

I ran a Baileys on a 2000 classic, had no problems, but the baileys sounded like a bus so put standard on, seems smoother though.
