Default Need Remap?

I am a bit worried that my new MY00 sti 6 is in need of a remap

I have read on here that the v6 sti is fragile and has a bad fuelling map etc.

I got a library full of receipts with the car but none for a remap!

The mods as far as i know are Walbro 255l pump, fuel pressure regulator,HKS silent HIPOWER exhaust(cats removed?) and a new MAF sensor.

The fuel work was done by RogerClark motorsport.

Would the work been done on the car need a remap and if so what would be the procedure?

Sorry im all new to scoobys so excuse the stupidity

STi 6 is a jap import fella so should be run on 100 ron fuel - best to map them for UK fuel as soon as they hit the UK or ASAP if that's not done. If you've a decat zorst then it's bloody urgent

I thought as much mate i run it on vpower but i gather thats not good enough?

You would think one of the previous owners or roger clark would have picked up on this?Is there any way to check if the car has been mapped without getting it mapped(if you know what i mean)

Does seem strange as I agree RCM should know better ... it may already be mapped of course just lost the receipt. Perhaps give RCM a call or indeed previous owner?

I owned a STi 5 back in 2000 before this issue was well known & my engine did indeed go pop with a £3k bill to fix It's a pretty well know problem in 2010 so previous owners should have been aware ...

V Power is close just not close enough!
