Default so close but so far away

Looking for a Scooby for a long time, seen some shocking examples on the way. yesterday i spotted a Legacy (silver, 2litre B4 RSK) in a showroom at the right price but gutted as its an import and am struggling to find the right insurance quote. I can get insurance on UK WRX for £600 fully comp but cheapest been £1800 with £1500 comp excess (feel sick), so far. Am 28 this year with 3yrs no claims thought it would be a bit better

The B4's arent the best to insure, prefacelift BG5's are a little cheaper, but yeah, you will pay a premium for imports with some insurers.

Some insurers that Scoobynet people have recommended are:

Keith Michaels. (Speak to Gary Moulson)
Aviva (Who im with on my BG5 GT-B Ltd) <- For Sale
A-Plan
Greenlight
Bell

It's soul destroying ringing around and always getting bad quotes, tried playing two insurers against each other, ring say aviva and say you are trying to beat a quote of £1200 with £400 excess? Thats how i got mine lower

Hope that helps.

No Probs. Its very frustrating. Some insurers arent that bothered about imports, just a case of ringing around until you get a good one.

Its a very rare Red GT-B LTD Twin Turbo Manual
Looking to get a Impreza Blobeye STi as no longer need an estate.
Here the current one:

Will be looking for about £2500, only marginally more than P/X value, as i will need a quick sale. Got Jap&Uk History inc belt changes, low mileage, few nice choice mods etc so should go quick at that price

I had a yellow gtb ltd like the above. I paid 1200 for insurance, about 2 years ago, when I was 26 and no ncb.
