pops and bangs
Hey all. When i got my car mapped i asked for some pops and bangs.. so the car dumps alot of fuel in on over run, the thing is that it hardly does it. It never does when on the spot. Only pops once in a blue moon and only when driving slow. Say 3000rpm gear change an let the revs drop right off. Any higher than 3000 it will never do it. There is plenty of fuel there. You can smell it. It just wownt bang. I have has the exhaust as hot as u like. Any ideas how i can get it to do it? Oh i have no cats..

Ive got ops n bangs on mine with a blitz nur spec R which drives me up the wall!!!
Im actually trying to get rid of it as the exhaust is loud enough as it is and the pops n bangs jus attract more attention...

The excess fuel is basically igniting after the turbo in the Down-pipe so not really Gordy07
I guess it may add stress to the exhaust but nothing it can't handle i should imagine

I am prepared to be called out for this, but isn't extra fuel at over run only half the issue, surely the timing needs to be pulled as well?
Mine used to do it now and again, not mapped that way I'll have you know, and on the cold dark morning drives to track days you could see the fuel lighting up in the rear view mirror.

mine pops and bangs fine. Sometimes pops really loud.
All I have is a ninja sports cat and a Afterburner Vortex. I've had no remap or any other mods. Though I'm not sure if it spits flames out the back. lol

Try feathering the throttle on overrun, that makes mine do it a lot more than if I have foot totally off the loud pedal, also need revs at about 3-3.5K on mine or not much goes on.
