If I get some from the dealer hopefully I'll be able to find out who makes them and then I'll know where to go next time....???
Maybe I'm just lazy
Matt.
P.S. I don't have any tenners, only fifties - will that do

I had some Auto Windscreen own brand fitted when I had my windscreen replaced. Never again. V poor quality. Dealer fitted some good ones, but not sure what they are. Sorry...
PS this is turning into a 'what blades should I not buy'

I've heard good things about the Bosch twins, but I have never actually used them. As mine are getting close to needing replacement I wouldn't mind some info on this as well....

Maybe this seems a bit obvious but....how about get some "official" replacement ones from your local dealer. The wipers that come new with the car work well so I'll be replacing them from my dealer.
£31 seems a bit steep but at least I know what I'm getting.
Matt.

Get the ones with the spoiler, otherwise don't bother using them at 80mph+
Justin
P.s. I have a pair for sale, no spoiler, used only once - yours for 10p

If your windscreen wipers are 'streaking' try cleaing the glass with 50/50 vinegar+water and newspaper - it cuts through the film on the windscreen brilliantly. The main reason why the wipers on new cars work so well is because the glass is clean!.
Also wash the wiper blades carefully to remove any embedded crud that stops the wiper from sitting flat on the glass.
Cheers,
Alex

Matt,
Did think about the dealer, but I remember getting some dealer ones on my old R5 Turbo, and they sold some aftermarket ones and not the originals!!!
THEY WERE BAD...
I may plump for Champion, as I got one for my station banger and it works fine.

£31 from the dealer is for Original replacements, not some other aftermarket part (which is presumably why they're so expensive!!!).
Sounds like the cheaper options are not quite as good as original reps - you gets what you pays for (well most of the time...).
Matt.

Could the vinegar cause problems if it comes in contact with the car's paintwork?

Had to buy Bosch Super in the end. One of the wiper blades disintegrated at Thurock today and I didn't fancy driving home in the rain without wipers.
They seem ok though, didn't get the ones with spoilers as MY99 already has a spoiler built onto the arm.

Down to Halfords - query the chart - buy the own brand blades (not spoliered as they didn't have driver and passenger in stock) - on the car - silly speed later - no streaking..
Can't be more happy..

OE wiper blades are made by bosch and rebadged . So save yourself £20 and go to halfords an get a set of bosch blades .
You could also try rain-x or similiar on your windscreen but be careful as I have found it doesn't agree with some brands of screenwash and starts streaking .
