Default Insurance renewal came today

£754 , has went up £34
Not a lot I know but I would have thought it would have came down.

Gave them a cheeky call to find out the score, apparently insurance prices are up 19%, all these scammers writing off there cars
Anyway he managed to get it down to £733, £21 not a significant saving but at least he tried, plus its the cheapest quote I can get anywhere for my age.

Mine was also more than last year! I've turned 25 now and have 5 years no claims too. My renewal was up by nearly 200 on last years. I phoned and scavenged the net trying for a cheaper quote. Elephant was 1000 ish. Which was only 80 cheaper than last year. So I phoned Admiral to see if they would make my renewal better. Managed to get it down to £850 fully comp, with my girlfriend as a named driver. She's only been driving a couple years too! So give Admiral a try.

Bell are part of the Admiral group and offered the same price, but don't offer the 3rd party insurance for other vehicles

ALWAYS go on line to find a cheaper quote then go back to your insurer for a re-quote.
I'm with Admiral on their Multi-car scheme with the wifes car. If you've got other cars at the same address, give it a try, it really does work out cheaper.

2nd M&S - underwritten by aviva.
I recommend you put your wife/gf on as main driver... saves lots of money. I'm 25, female, 8 yrs no claims £250 excess and full breakdown cover for £700 with fiance as named driver. But the scoob is mine

My Admiral policy had gone up from £230 to £300.

After a quick search on Confused, Elephant quoted £200, called Admiral gave them the quote ref and they matched it (same company).

Happy days
