Default Steering going light

When I turn the steering, sometimes it feels light as if its not connected and then it re connects and feels normal again????? My tyre pressure is fine, no shake from the steering when I drive along. Also when I apply some power, the delivery is not as smooth as it should be, it judders, no smoke from the exhaust. Thank for your help!

to clarify, steering is going light as if there is play in the steering wheel, or going light as if the tyres are not gripping the ground properly?

It feels like the car is understeering but isnt! The car is a wrx wagon, bugeye 2001, only mods are prodrive pack and 17" subaru alloys which I'm not sure if there standard or not? The suspension hasn't been played with.

Do you meen camber, and tracking set up? Tyre wear is even, no wearing on inside or outside.
