best bet is off another member or just keep trawling autotrader & p/heads until something takes your fancy

yeah, thats the most simple thing to do,but not many come up to be honest, anyone had anything imported through autotrader imports? i just feel that if i did it the hassle way i would get a better deal.(cheaper)? as i will be after a jdm hawkeye and the private/litchfield ones are slightly over budget.is importing direct through another company not cheaper in the long run?

I traveled by Ferry and rented car all the way up to that crowd from ireland via holyhead, to buy a beautiful R32 skyline, "heavily modded", in great condition with a beautiful kit and those gorgeous BBS LM staggered alloys!
She looked perfect and the few chats I had with the lads on the phone, hence the 10 hours on the sea and road
Only to arrive and realise that they had taken the picture from the good side!!!!! the only side with the side skirts and spats, and the LM wheels,
The front mount was for display only, not piped up!
She was in bits!
I asked for the chap that i had been dealing with (I can't remember his name) I was going to kill him, literally kill him, My Da had to drag me out of the place!
Luckily I found an R32 on the way home from a local paper, and I didn't go home empty handed!

If you buy a car from a SN member, you have the very best chance of getting a car that has been looked after by someone who knows how to look after a scooby! the cheapest way is to import yourself from Japland, but it's risky!!

Best fo luck

Dan

It's not cheap to import from Japan. The exchange is terrible and one of the reasons why the JDMs are holding value.

Theres video's on You Tube about KTC they are that bad.

My mate used to import Jap cars and he say's he made about £2-3k per car so it might be a cheaper option for you mate, i still want to know what's wrong with a Hawkeye Sti uk? They may not be as high spec'd as the JDM hawkeye but they are still good cars.

I know a lot of 2.5 hawks have had headgasket issues and your looking at £1000 plus to sort that out.

The other place to try is car planet Warrington, they seem to have some nice cars and I would think they would import you one.

Last one i would try would be David at Api he has had a few hawkeye jdm in, and think he is selling his own blobeye at the minute running around 400 of each so that might be worth a look

If you are really after importing, check these guys out http://www.japaneseusedcars.com/ I haven't used them personally but they have an excellent reputation in the drifting scene.
