Anyone had a car from this place?
Just want to know what they are like
Been told off a few mates to not bother with any of the import centres based around leeds & bradford

I bought a car there, V1 STi.
Blew it's Head gasket within a week, which was due to knackered radiator, and also took out the water pump.
Lost compression on 2 pistons within a month, needed a full rebuild. And I did look after the car,
Do a search on them and then avoid them

There is a thread on them on here at least once every 2 weeks. I have never seen an advert and don't live anywhere near them and I still know not to buy anything off them God knows what their local reputation is like. Suprised they are still in business.

Most of their cars are accident damage imports which they fix up and sell on however most of the work is generally ****.
Unless you know what to look for and can budget for getting the work done 'proper' I wouldn't bother - the newer stock they have are mint however their reputation is buggered regardless of how straight a car is.

KTC certainly have a terrible reputation on the forum, but I'm not aware of any other businesses in the area that get such consistently bad reports.
I'm looking at late classic STIs myself and there do seem to be quite a few for sale in that general area. If anyone knows of any other specific dealers to consider avoiding, perhaps they'd be kind enough to drop each of us a PM?

why would anyone want to buy from a dealer anyway, and pay over the odds dealer prices? seems stupid to me, the best deals are goin to be private sales, especially in a recession?

Try looking for a P1 right now - it's only private sellers that are still clinging to the idea that their cars are worth £10k or more. Dealer prices are, by comparison, quite realistic.

...and that's why a P1 costs more, from anywhere, than the STI V on which it's closely based. It doesn't really explain why private sellers should be asking more than dealers do for a similar car, though.

Went to look at a Forester there and they wouldnt even entertain a test drive. Basic conversation went like this.
Me: "I'm interested in the Forester"
big fat asian bloke: "No, no test drives. If you want to drive you buy"
me: "What, before I buy it I'd want to see if it drives okay"
BFAB: "It drives okay. IF YOU WANT TO DRIVE IT YOU BUY IT!!!"

I've been to KTC & most of the other dealers in the Leeds/Bradford area, I came away empty handed, if the cars they were selling were good, the dealers' attitude stank. KTC in particular has some very obnoxious Asian chaps working for them.
Stay well away & buy private.

I know but there where refering to the import centers around there, What i was basicly told was that theres a few up that way that are basicly the same company under a diffrent name.
Any way ill stay clear, feel sorry for anyone thats about to pay £60k for a new GT-R off them

i have to say it was me that had the last laught because the car i traded in with them needed a clutch brakes all round and the rear bumper was held on with duck tape and they still give me a good price i was just going to put it on ebay at £1 start and see what it would of made

The only saving grace about buying my car from KTC was that I traded in a Mitsi GTO TT I got off a mate in PX for a fiesta I owned at the time (was a very confusing deal) and the GTO I traded in needed a gearbox rebuild which would have cost £1500. I took it to trade in and my mate parked it on the road side ( I couldn't get insurance) I asked for a trade in value, they said "how much do you want?" so taking the **** I said £3500, and he agreed to it! he said he couldn't be bothered looking it over or even starting it up as it was raining!

Dealers don't know what they have and just think the engine is about to blow.
