i am mulling over selling my scooby and buying one of my all time favourite cars. a 27 year old mk1 fiesta xr2 they are one of the coolest cars ever built and propper old skool

see what i mean they are slow have a 4 speed gearbox

i restored one of them about ten years ago and loved every min of owning it

 

im on the hunt for one in white. And may drop a 2.0 zetec in it.

 

prefer the mk2 xr2 myself, almost bought one a year ago, always loved them when i was young, mate had an immaculate f plate mercury grey one, still fancy one but nice ones are going for a fair bit now, missed out on a white one that had only 50k on the clock and had lived on isle of white all its life, boy had bought it to race it but couldnt as it had sunroof, he had fitted brand new magnex manifold and full exhaust, webber carb, k&n etc, was mint, was on ebay he told me he had been offered 2050 was only sitting at 1700 thought he was chancing it so i bid max of 2000 and it sold for 2050!! was gutted.

 

nice mate and dare i say it the ford shows are massive

 

Yeah mate been to ford fair a few times when I had my rs turbo
I was gonna go this year but I can't make it.
