Isn't it aboout time we had another "how much is my lovely Scoob worth" thread?
Good day all,
Have had my modded 2001 WRX for 4 years now and am thinking of selling it with a view to getting myself a 2006 STi (and doing a Milltek sports cat & getting Andy F to remap it).
Anyway, not sure how much it's worth.
It's in superb condition (my mates are always joking about the fact it's always shiny and it has a full service history. 81k miles).
Here's the spec
Mechanical:
Andy F remap
Ninja sports cat down pipe with decat mid section, plus Prodrive back box
Andy F hybrid TD04 (dyno'd at 301/290 & spools very low)
Sti intercooler & undertray
uprated plugs
API std 5 speed recon gearbox
Exedy clutch
Lightened Flywheel
Silkolene Pro S always used
Suspension
Prodrive springs
Whiteline ARB & droplinks
Brakes
Pagid Blacks up front, Ferodo DS2500 rears
Goodrich SS hoses
Dot 5.1 Fluid
Here she is:
Cheers for any thoughts!
Andy TJ

As ever I'd say the mods wont earn you any extra cash, they'll detract if anything!
I'd strip off what you can and sell the bits off. I'd say around 4K-£4.5K for the car with that mileage. I sold a 2004 blob WRX a few months back, 36,000 on the clock for only £6,400 so thats my guess.

£4k maybe higher if you find the right buyer.
I know this isn't the case having known you on snet.... but reading an advert for a tuned car that has required a recon gbox, (unstated as to whether this was uprated for the extra power), would not read well or add value to a car in a buyers market. Also it's green, which I personally like, but.....

But fair comment.

I guess it can only be worth what folks are willing to pay!
Was also trying to decide whether to just trade in or not, although i would guess I'd get about a grand less if I did?

Cheers Moto.
What spec is your 06 Sti - sounds good! Remap with sports cat, 3" exhaust and Prodrive springs perhaps? Are the brakes standard (ie is there any need to upgrade them?)

Any thoughts on trade in value guys? (ignoring the fact that you can probably drop £500 of the retail price of a newer can when turning up without a trade in).

Trade will ignore the mods and go off the Parkers book etc.
I dunno really. I'd guess at 3-3.5K. Again though just a guess mate.
I think some folk on here have access to price databases so maybe someone can help you.

I had a 2001 bugeye blue which I got rid of last April
It had 63K on clock and blitz nurspec R exhaust 18" innovite graphite wheels was lowered on Eibachs and had a Brembo brake conversion
Serious offers were around 4.5K
But I ended up doing a Deal for Subaru Powered Beetle which was utterly mental.
I got a Blob STI PPP now tho.
Alot of people aint fond of the bugeye and no offence in any way but green isnt the prettiest colour either so you might have to wait for the right buyer to come along alas.
When I was trying to sell my bug most would be buyers (which werent many) were into bugeyes in particualar.
But like marmite I suppose. Good luck with the sale though.
