Default Can you tell if mapped?

Hi All,

Is there any way to tell if a car has been mapped other than a mapper plugging in?

Driving the car is the simplest way to tell if mapped or not, that is if the mapper has done a decent job.

Anybody who has experience of a particular make and model can tell by driving the car if it has been remapped and running a higher boost than the standard car. You don't need to plug in.

You can't tell if its been remapped though without connecting to the ECU.
Yes - you will be able to tell that its got higher boost than normal, but that doesn't necessarily mean its been remapped.

The notion of my car running a higher boost than standard without having it remapped just doesn't bear thinking about.
