Default Realistic p/x target

Looking at changing car. Any guesses for my first p/x quote (03 STi PPP, 60k, FSH, mapped to about 340/330, 18 month old uprated clutch, refurbed anthracite wheels, new fr discs and pads)?

£4.5k Feels like I'd be giving it away at that price, heck of a lot of car for the money.

Any thoughts on this what my target (realistic) should be? Was expecting nearer £6k

That's crazy ! I wouldn't even think of letting it go for that mate! Should be in the high 6k region maybe 7K for a private sale if its a good'un!

Cheers Robbie. What do you think for p/x? Not got inclination to sell privately and need a contribution to next car. But..............£4.5k FFS Am I being unrealistic in expecting closer to £6k p/x?

The book price for part/ex on an 03 sti with average mileage is £5600. So for yours £6K is not unreasonable! Look at Parkers mate.

That's where I got my rough value from. Was shocked at the £4.5k offer. Fair enough I know they aren't the best/easiest selling cars for a dealer, but he's gonna get £7k all day long on re-sell, surely.

Yea I'd say so. Below average miles and good service items, should be a good seller. Can I ask what your thinking of buying? I keep looking at astra 888's and dreaming of 50mpg and still 330ft/lbs

Would you get a better deal if you didn't have a px ?

Cash is always best to hand over.

I'm sure someone would buy you car
for more than the trade in offer without too much hassle.

I'm looking for a new car this wekend was going to go BMW diesel but might be tempted my a sti on a good deal.

Will put in the for sale section in here, see what response I get over the next week or so. Would rather an enthusiast got a good deal than the dealers. Am looking at a car tomorrow , see how I feel after that and look at timings.

Rear shocks replaced also, so no dreaded knocking!

Cheers for responses guys.
