Default Anyone know a decent scooby specialist Leeds/Morley ?

Hey ppl few questions for the experienced scooby heads.
I bought a bugeye wrx wagon 52 plate in December had a couple issues since I bought it with drop links(fit new ones myself) and more recently the front 2 alloys both cracking after i had them powder coated. Any idea`s why this would have happened pls ?
I have also just noticed the N/S/R shocker leaking (wondered why it was a lil unsure around corners) So i`m looking for a set of second hand front and rear shox and springs inc mounts off a buyeye/newage sti ?? how much should I be looking at paying ? and is there a major difference between standard wrx and sti struts and springs if not i`ll just change both rear shox and not bother changing rest.

Plus is there anyway of finding out if it has been remapped ? Its had a stainless steel exhaust fitted I think from cat back and a K&N panel filter fitted but everything else seems pretty standard I think...... I have blown away cars I would have neva thought I would have done mind so I`m not sure weather its been mapped or i`m just used to driving our lasses VW 4mo.

If there is any just general info you can pass onto me that I should know then pls reply and let me know.

Anyway Thanks for reading my endless thread but new to this and still eager to find out more and learn about the baby ive just bought

Rich

They were to lazy to help me buy parts the two times I went there... cash in hand.

Best avoided, if you contact coops78 he can give you Andrew Carr's number, he's done a fair few WYIOC members cars now.

HTH

Just need someone to give it a once over that knows scoobys, Ive had a good look ova it and so have a garage or 2 but wanted someones experienced eye to run ova it that knows SCOOBYS. couple of things need doing to it before remap wana change front and rear discs to groved and dippled alone with beta pads, 3 port boost valve, and de cat down pipe.

Not sure if its been mapped already to be honest though, is there any check I can do ?

Richard Henrys only map cars using Apexi fc ,but they will be able to tell if your car is mapped through genral experience.

I'd say Scooby Clinic (Chesterfield), been there with mine today. I travelled from Hull but well worth it. The lads there know Scoobies in side and out. Well worth a visit i'd say. I went there off recommendations and will continue to use them. Cant complain at all and the prices are very reasonable.

I use a place in Birstall, its a father and son run garage called whitehall motors.

They have serviced all my cars (including my scoob) for the past twelve years. I can not recommend them enough on price and experience, your scoob would be in very good hands with these guys. Will pass on their info if interested

Its been said above, avoid well lane like the plague.
