It's the alloy plate with two pop rivets holding it in..........ignore the jap writing it's the Applied model codes you read

JDMs dont have a VIN (only cars built for international makets do), they use a short chassis number. Both the chassis number and and the applied model number start GC8. The applied model number will probably be GC8A48D - the chassis number is the other GC8 prefi number.
