Default Front seats for classic

Does anyone have a good recommendation of what kind of front seats to put in a classic.
Its an STI and when car was imported the original front seats had been replaced with a pair of Recaro's,
The passenger seat is not in great condition and even the sub-frame is not fully secure (due to one of the points in the frame where there is meant to be a bolt there is no bolt hole on the car floor).
So i'm wanting to get seats changed, Or at least the passenger seat as driver seat is in good condition.

Can anyone tell me if front seats and sub-frames from newer models would fit in without modification?
Or if anyone knows of a decent priced place to buy bucket seats with sub-frames?

Idealy i'd like standard STI seats with the grey and red trim and the STI logo stitching in the middle but cant always find these.

Any advice welcome.

Newage seats fit with almost no mods - the seat belt buckles need to be changed and the front bolt hole next to the transmission tunnel (both seats) will need to be elongated but they go straight in? Mine were STi8 seats into a 96WRX, front and rears.

Don't buy those! They're f*cked and already at silly money. Any seats should come with a subframe, as its integral.

Thanks, probably just wait for something else to come up, not in an immediate rush anyway.

Aye, shame about the top of those, the rest looks good. Looks like it's been burned?

Re-covering them would be expensive, so if they are like that, don't pay much over £50.

I got immaculate fronts and matching rears in the same style for £200 two years back.

As others have said, New Age seats will also fit straight in, but theyre a little higher. A friend of mine fitted late seats in his Classic (more than once) and I could sit in the car perfectly well, and Im 6'3", so its not a major issue unless youre some sort of freak!

They're definitely tighter round the bolsters though than the classic ones.
