Default water spray kits

I always thought it was a bit of a gimmick... then Subaru stopped fitting them on STI's with the hatch so that confirmed my suspicions..

But

A guy from across the pond was testing if his cool action I/C splitter was any good, by measuring the post i/c air temps against ambient temps, with and without the splitter and on different days....
On the day it rained, his post I/C air temp was below ambient temp...suggesting the evaporation of the water on the I/C did significantly cool the air more.

PS.

The splitter experiment showed it cooled the I/C quicker after heat soak... but once running there was little advantage due to the air already down to ambient post i/c
