The only modified Impreza that pslewis would approve of, and even better it's a wagon. 
And it is even the same colour as his old wagon.
I have seen the saloon and wagon versions of this car and they are both equally hideous.

Be fair, everyone knows that Subaru took their inspiration from this when desigining the Wagon: 
As for Carltons. The Vauxhall ones you're 100% right, they're grim. But the Lotus version is a fine looking machine.
