Default info request pls 1995 FIA

Hi all

i'm looking at a 1995 fia subaru. could anyone shed some light on the specs it should have or what makes it the FIA number 578 out of 1000. what are the differences to a standard wrx or are there any?
from what i can make out from the chasis GC8C48D with transmission TY752VB4AA
so is that a standard wrx with a sti gearbox?
& the above codes on catherin&ken make it out as a wrx v-ltd made 09/94 to 08/95.

Thanks folks

http://www.gearhack.com/myink/ViewPa...ission%20Chart

Looks like the same transmission for both the wrx and STI, the STI RA has different transmission, chart is there though

cheers for the reply tony, so it has a 'better' gearbox than a standard wrx?
the pic the dealer sent me of the engine it clearly is a standard wrx engine (no red-top) & the code matches earlier wrx models.
Are there any differences though to the car/engine from a wrx other than the gearbox & a badge saying v-ltd on the back!?

No, that will be the standard gearbox for the base range, the STI RA had a different box, STI and WRX have that same box.
Car will be similar in spec to any other wrx, same engine, ecu etc, just more extra's fitted (different wheels? interior etc)

he means a v-limited. they have a white FIA badge on the boot.
there was a wrx v-limited and sti v-limited. sti has a roof vent wrx does not.
dont get them mixed up cos the sti is worth more. lots of wrx been sold as sti.
easy mistake to make though cos they both have sti type seats etc. typical japs.

thanks for the input guys, yes it is a wrx v-limited, not sti, but seems to have a differnet gearbox from the standard wrx, which the reference of it matches the wrx sti v2, so all i was hoping is that it was a better than standard wrx box as its the same code & was put in the sti v2 (according to catherine&ken!)
Its a really good price, very good condition in & out with 79k. loads & loads of receipts etc & recent cambelt & brakes.... seems good deal, just hoping we can come to a deal with my car as part ex
oh, it has the fia logo in the seats not sti.
