why am i loosing so much power threw the drive train?

Default why am i loosing so much power threw the drive train?

as above, im running 360/340, but at the wheels im only getting 270bhp...
thats a 90bhp loss, ive seen alot of scoobys loose around 50bhp but isnt 90 a hell of alot??

Tyres, none dccd car, the way the rolling road calculates the power on drag etc, lots of factors, just to put it into perspective, my last Spec C ran 316bhp and put 255bhp on the road, so a 61bhp loss which is about 19% loss but she had DCCD as standard, your loss is about 25%, but isnt yours an MY03 UK car with visious coupling diff?

its a 2001 uk300, not a clue about the diff pal,,
any idea`s how i can reduce this loss? will a flywheel (lighter)reduce and loss at all??

Get a dccd gearbox to reduce transmission losses, as Tony states above a fully open dccd diff has lower transmission losses than the standard viscous 50/50 diff.

17 to 22% is about average so yours isnt to far away mate not alot you can do without spending big

Ross, are you running bigger 18 inch wheels? that can produce drag if you are (and wider tyres).
