Now I'm gonna be a DAD!
And I'm over the moon
Me and Nat have been secretely "trying" since about April time when we agreed it's what we want. I don't earn much (yet) but I will make the necessary sacrifices to bring my young un up in the best possible home with responsible parents!
That is all

Well been married for 15yrs, no kids and never wanted kids, prefer my pets to be honest. However, it's really nice to hear that when a couple have thought it through and decided to try for a child that they are rewarded with a pregnancy. Hope all goes well for you and your better half.

Cheers fella (and to the others too!).
We've talked about it for several months prior and always said we'd try get married first (as Sunday was our 6th year together) but that won't happen until we can afford a decent church wedding - when I'm on better money as an engineer/fitter.
We did decide when I was out of work NOT to try as I don't believe in all the 'pop as many out as you can' thesis whilst on any benefits. Just need to be intelligent with the money we do have and try sort out family and friends to help with babysitting etc while we work.
Not gonna be easy but I'm really gonna enjoy fatherhood.
2 things - he/she likes trance music and is a Utd fan

This is what happens when you stick it in too far.
We did baby on a budget, loads of cheap second hand stuff out there that's hardly been used, buggies etc. Shop about and see if there is a 'recycling centre' near you. The local children's hospital runs a service called Good Green Fun near us, re-sells toys, prams etc, ask for whatever you need and they call when the get one in and the money goes to the sick kids. All good.

Om certianly
Not gonna scrimp on stuff for the burn and have had offers off a couple of friends with recent newborns fir stuff they don't need in good nick etc. Just gonna be frugal with our resources as we don't have the luxury of well paid jobs yet. I think having a pair of loving parents and help from our large families is mire important.
