Anyone got an answer to this?

Assuming you own a 1.3cc car ....

Now, this vehicle is due for a refund on road Tax backdated to November 2000

Lets say you sell it, say in the next few days, does the new owner get the backdated tax?? I cant see DVLA keeping track of where cars are on a date and who owned them when and who they should send the cheque to???

Or maybe they will???

Question

Why should a Lord of The Manor like yourself give a rat's *** over such a piffling sum?

Now, look you are at it again Leigh

Trying to get me into trouble hoping I'll say something??

Well, I didnt say ME and MY 1.3cc car did I?? and the reason I am where I am and you are, and will always be, a peasant is because I DO care about small amounts of money -

I like the 'Lord of the Manor' tag too!! did I really say I owned ALL of it?????

A lord of the manor would never boast about something so vulgar as personal wealth, Peter, ... but then you wouldn't know that, would you? I think you are more likely a 'bandit of the @rse' than a 'lord of the manor'.

Seriously, you know I like a bit of banter, but drop the boasting m8, not nice.

Leigh - Boasting am I???

hmmmmm let me see now??? I joined the BBS in June 2000 - and this is the first you have EVER known about my status!!! and it was YOU who asked what car I had!! so I answered ok?? what did you want me to do?? lie??

It would appear to me that you have a real problem accepting someone who has 'made it' .... you have clearly shown by your posts that you NEVER will!!!

Pete,

When you get your Tax renewal through you'll also get a form that you need to fill in to be process the refund due to you.

It might be your name on the cheque - you KNOW how badly you want it!!!!

Surely you cant be happy with just a Porsche and a 3 series BMW??

It wont be my name on the cheque - I am NOT your 'missus'. (BTW - That has to be one of the most patronising ways to refer to your wife!!!!)

As you know I would as soon drive the metro as you would have gold wheels on your scooby!!

I am sure the bureaucrats will have produced a form for you to use to get the refund due. I cannot see you letting them get away with short changing you xx

Any refunds are backdated until November 2000. You will get a form come through to you to enable you to claim your refund and you can either ask for the money or request that amount to be taken off your road fund duty for the next year.

Either way a good result
