Default CS400 performance figures in Evo

Just had a flick through this in Sainsburys, could someone tell me how they only just managed a sub 5second, and with a 13sec quarter mile @110+mph? In my blob STi I manage 12.8s only crossing the line at 102/3mph, so surely they're doing something wrong? I'd expect at least low 4s, and low 12s for this car? Especially crossing the line at those speeds!

I also noticed how they've fitted a cold air intake to it, which would explain the noises it was making on the TopGear video..

The car was not making power due to heat soak. These were the best times they could get and a long way short of quoted targets.

330s hatch does 13 second 1/4 mile

That's some serious heat soak...

Don't believe everything you read in the mags! They also tested an Evo 9 we set up for Turbo Technics and the figures made no sense there either.
They're just telling a story, not carrying out a definitive report.

Why would they need to lie about straight line performance though?

Makes a more interesting story when a new car's claimed performance doesn't match it's tested performance.... EVO is like TG...

Hmm I'm not sure I believe they would do that, I just reckon they have no idea how to launch it??
