resonated pipe yes or no

ive got an 04 sti and am going to buy a new exhaust prior to a remap.
i am going to fit an amd milltek cat back system.
will i get more power from pipe without resonated section?
i already have sport cat fitted.

got Hayward on Scott back bock and straight through centre with no res...sound just about right not too noisy with a cool burble

thanks ! why would you fit resonator?? is it a noise issue or performance related?

Noise, normally... Usually some sort of booming resonance at certain revs - i.e. some cruising speeds. You might be lucky or it might be a massive PITA.

Depends if you want the choice of a quiet(er) car when the windows are wound up and you're tootling up the mway...
