Only the classic STi's have a version number, yours is just classed as a 96 WRX
If it was an STi then it would be a version 2

ace, just checked I have:

wrx gf8c58d option pj engine EJ20G DW4NE

What options do I have for tunage now?

I know it's not a facelift but because it's a 96 should I be buying stuff at 93-96 or 96-01?

cheers lads

just another quicky the temp gauge stays at a normal level but on first starting it only takes about 5mins to get there is this normal?

I have a slight whining from gearbox.

and on 2 occasions when depressing the clutch pedal it only came back halfway. any ideas?

welcome

they do reach temp quickly (btw the gauge reaches slightly under halfway from 70deg and does not move once it reaches there, even at it's operating temp of almost 90deg, it takes almost twice as long to reach almost 90deg, as it does to reach 70deg.)

a lot of scoobs have a slight whine (my '07 wrx has had since new), can barely hear it though.

no idea about the clutch though.
