I think that car is worth £14k, I would certainly pay the asking price a strengthened built EJ257 short motor doesn't come cheap, there are some tasty goodies on that car Ap's, defis,Etc However I'd loose the chargespeed splitter and opt for a version 5/6 o.e look

I would be happywith 9.5 I was thinking if putting it up for 10.5 and hope to get a European buyer for it. But I guess I'll put it up for 10.5 open to offers. You had a minter silver type r brad that had a very nice spec how you finding life outside the scooby? And what you driving now?

The car in the ad was the subject of a very long and acrimonious thread on here not so long ago.

sounds like you have a similar spec to mine,

I paid £10K last year for it and have spent another £6.5K (New bottom end, wheels, tyres etc)

I would say your aiming in the right direction around £10K mark, proberly a bit more.

More money to be made by breaking it though

10.5k is decent price considering standard high mileage type r V3 are going for 4-5k. Your's is a V4 with PPG so 10.5k is real bargain keeping in mind of the spec & how rare it is to find one with 500hp. I sold mine for 8k with a standard gearbox so you should easily get the asking price. Its that one buyer which makes the difference. Amazing car with unbelievable performance which you can feel in your neck. Good luck with the sale brother. Time for a Honda

Around 10K sounds about right, i have customers wanting cars like this around this price. If you do decide to sell PM e details and i will pass on, i shure it will be a shame to see it go...

£10k it should easily sell, but if you hold out, the right buyer might come along @ £11k> IMO.

There is no way in the world I would pay £14k for the one in the link but I would pay £10k all day long for a type R with those mods, a type R is always more desirable and I wouldn't think you will have any trouble at all selling it for that money. Got any photos of your car?

Mus - hope all is well with you. Shame you've decided to put her up for sale after such a short time, but I do understand given your situation following your accident.

My view is put a list together on what you woud get if you were to break the car up i.e. shell & components and their resale value.

How does this compare to say what it would cost someone to carry out similar mods ie. to put together parts & labour inclusive?? That ought to give you a benchmark with your figures.

Comparing your's to the car advertised is only really comparable if both cars' have used same parts and have similar milage/usage as well as age of new build.

mmm like the way he brags about spinning the wheels up at a ton n beating bikes etc n then contradicting himself by saying hes not driven it on boost/hard as running in the new engine, how can he even know its anygood without a map or a dyno session And he says he spent alot more than stated but will discuss when u see the car, alarms bells ringing there

I sold that already aswell. I've realised that nothing can come close to the Impreza. Selling my Type R was a mistake
