Default selling outside the uk?

Hi all,

You may or may not know that i am trying to sell my bugeye.
i received an e-mail today via pistonheads asking for more pics and also asking if i would be interested in selling to someone outside of the uk?

what do you think?
is it more hassle than its worth and how does it work?

Thanks
ben

If he pays all your shipping expenses then there is no problem, all you have to do is fill in the permanent export part of your V5 after you have shipped the car and take the plates off.
However be vary of scams regarding money transfers and always wait full amount of time for the money to clear with the bank.

Considering it.seems less hassle selling to this guy than it would be selling it in the uk.

It could be genuine and all be as easy as it sounds, I would however warn there are a number of pretty elaborate scams around starting similar to this, so would advise following the sound advice above as well as that of Dunx

He's paying cash on collection.
So have a note test marker pen, or a uv light so you can check the cash money before he does an offski with your car my friend.

Could well be genuine, the state of the £ right now could mean he is getting a bargain. Your car is WELL under priced anyway ( I appreciate you are having trouble selling but it is a real giveaway)
If it were me I would not worry about the deposit, I would tell him to come over at the weekend with the full amount. If its genuine he will turn up with the money, If not at least you have not got into any kind of bank business.
