Default How much is it worth?

Here is my 2002 impreza WRX with only 25k miles on the clock from new! The car is like new inside and out which you would expect with the very low mileage. I am an subaru enthusiast and have spent thousands on the car like the previous owner. I have only driven it mainly in the summer months so it is in mint condition. The car is running a healthy 320BHP which is why i fitted an STI 6 speed box to easily cope with the increase in power, that alone cost around 3k with uprated clutch! A brief list of upgrades, ENGINE, STI 9 VF34 turbo,STI intercooler,STI injectors,Near equal length stainless headers,Ekutek chip(mapped at Tracktive solutions),Walbrough fuel pump,Uprated panel filter. REST OF CAR, STI 6 speed gearbox conversion,AP organic clutch,AP Racing 6 pot brake conversion(stainless braided brake lines),WRC spoiler & front and rear splitter(not cheap fibreglass),18 inch Ultralite alloys with Toyo rubber,Eibach springs,Morrette headlamp conversion,Clear rear lights,In car pillar gauges. All upgrades have been proffesionally installed at Subaru specialists TSL & Carnetix with no expense spared!

How much would you say it is worth?

Cheers

Ermmmmm, not sure I did.

My reasoning :-

Just sold a 2000 genuine UK car with One Owner, standard car (so worth more).

Yes, it had 100,000 miles on it - but it was the last of the Classics (worth more than the bugeyes).

So, I adjusted the price in light of my experience and came up with £4,250 .... that's if you want to sell.

You did ask .................

Yours is a 2003, a year newer - a BlobEye, not a BugEye.

I would think around £5000 to see yours away.

Always ready to help

You are right if the above had of been totally original imo it would be worth more.

I hear what ur saying! But this car has only 25,000 on the clock fully backed up with service history and previous mots showing mileage. With 10k + worth of mods let alone the mileage 4k is taking the p***!

25,000 miles is good and worth 15% more than normal mileage (80,000) I would say.

£10,000 worth of mods? Worth diddly - unless someone wants them (most don't - they want to do their own).

And I said £4,250 not £4,000 ....... ask £4,999 and haggle hard - you may get £4,500 - £4,750 if you are prepared to wait.

That's just my opinion .... and I seem to be the only one who has offered an answer to your question as yet.

It is a tough one as im looking to join the fold. I know you have put lots in although still not an out the box STI. So if you price it in the STI range then someone will really have to want it. So from what ive seen for sale etc anything about the 5.5-6k is where I see it personally. As anything more ££££ wise people will go for the bug STI and then little bit more ££££ Blob STI's are starting to come down too.

25k miles is good but as you have seen on here well used models pampered stil fetch the same. See the thread regarding the silly priced WR1 for sale! Mileage is attractive but not on everyones must have.

Just as i see it so hope nothing i have said has offended. Ideally you should put it back to standard, Get a good price and sale then make your ££££ back selling the spares.

HTH

The idea of putting it back to standard and getting £3,750 for it ..... then selling the 'extras' is a good one!

A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay 4 it!! Checking out Autotrader I would put the car @ the 8k mark!

you wont sell it at that, i know of higher spec cars that have sold recently for less im afraid..

if you want any of your money back strip it back to standard and sell the parts on and the car as basic.

£8,000 ....

Good luck with that .... seriously, I have seen 2007 WRX HatchBacks with 14,000 miles for £10,500 ..... and struggling to find a buyer.

I will stick to my guns ... £4,250 - £4,750 to sell .... if you want to play about, advertise it on PH for £7999 and see what happens.

Your unlikely to get 8K. You don't mention colour, that can make a big difference. If you don't break it start at 6 and see if you get any interest. Sadly you can't take a 4K car, spend another 4K and then sell it for 8K. As mentioned you'll get more money putting it back to standard. Although if you do this it also impacts on the price of the car becuase many won't want a car that has been modded then put back to standard. It makes it sound like its had a busy life that many people just won't want.

Took me 10 seconds

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...01019358634090

Yes, it has 70,000 miles .... but it's a Dealer and they will sell it for £3500 - yours being 25,000 miles adds 15%, but less 5% as you are not a Dealer.

That puts it about £3,750?

The mileage will help the sale as its attractive but possibly wont add too much value.

8k will never sell as mentioned. The people above know their scoobies and see what comes up and what they go for so know their apples. You MAY get a buyer but will take a long time.

Best option would be to strip it back to standard as mentioned. Get a good 4-4.5k for it (although bugs not selling at the moment, check for sale section) then sell the parts.

Example this sold recently and in my eyes well worth it and competitively priced.

The guys spent £10k on mods so if it's worth £4.5k as standard then another few £k on top sounds fine & dandy to me. There's loads of people who will pay some money towards the mods - it's a fecking no brainer
