Default Warming UP

How long do you spend warming up your car first thing in the morning, or do you just get in and drive but dont go above a certain rpm.

I do this

Get in car, start car up, put seatbelt on, unfold mirrors (electric folding ones are great ) turn radio on, put volume to nice level, car into reverse and off the drive
I then stick to under 3k for the first 5-10 miles as the oil can take some time to warm up (min of 5 miles to get near the operating temp depending on what oil your using, thicker the oil, longer it takes to warm up), but just dont rag her when cold (dont go by the water temp gauge, you need an oil temp gauge really) and let her cool down for a few seconds before turning off.

if you have a forged engine it takes a bit longer for the metal to expand, i usually give it a minute before driving off actually, but no need to sit in the car for 5 minutes unless it's -10c or something.

Yes thats the sequence I usually do. I point car in park car in wrong direction to. So have to turn around in a sidestreet which gives a little more time for the engine.

Then never really go above 3k. Problem is I usually get all the cars tailgaiting me at this point lol.
