6 Year Service Cost
Hi,
my 53 WRX is overdue it's 6 year service and I've been quoted £399 from the local Subaru stealership.
I'm told its this expensive because of all the fluid replacement.
Can anyone advise if this price is competitive? or alternatively, does anyone know of a good subaru specialist in or near the Stoke-On-Trent.
Cheers.

I have mine booked for a weeks time with a specialist, my subaru dealer quoted me £575+VAT so that is a great price.
Check that everything is included in this price it should be pretty much all of the fluids (engine, brake, gearbox, diff) and all of the filters (air, fuel) changing as well as spark plugs. The 6 year / 60k is the dear service but not one to skimp on.

Used have my car serviced by Holdcrofts in Newcastle-under-lyme before they moved to Hanley, and find if you provide your own stuff that you could get this done cheaper. Don't forget a stealership will charge extra for the fluids and the like than what you can buy yourself.. Had my 03 STi serviced by the local stealership in Cheshire and it came in cheaper as I provided my own fluids, but they refused to fit my NGK PFRB-7 plugs and put their own PFRB-6 plugs in and got charged. Luckily I got to use the plugs in my Daihatsu YRV Turbo so didn't lose out in the end.
