Default Air con not working

It actually stopped working a few months back but it has not been an issue until now. It's a 2001 classic and when I press the aircon button I can no longer hear the change in engine tone that I used to get. The belt is okay so does it just need regassing or is it something else?

cheers kot

Cheers I did check all of the fuses under the bonnet but they were okay. I was wondering if any in the drivers side footwell have anything to do with air con. There are 19 of them iirc but I have no diagram.

It sounds like it wants regassing.
Dont pay more than £50.00 and make sure they get some U.V. dye into the system.
