oil pressure

Default oil pressure

just plumbed 13 row oil cooler and oil pressure is 6 bar with revs and 3 bar on tickover yet before cooler fitted it was running 7 bar with revs and 3 bar on tickover so could someone tell me if its ok

It would seem reasonable that the cooler and pipework (if its like mine there is a fair length of hose) will increase pressure drop around the system so you measure a lower pressure at the oil galleries. This will be more noticeable at higher flows (with revs). 6 bar with revs and 3 bar idle (presume hot) is pretty good pressure anyway.

Nowt wrong with that pressure. Virtually the same as what mine runs, assuming yours is hot pressure.
