Default Remap Difference

Afternoon all

My 05 STI blobeye is going in on the 11th June for decat downpipe, CAI, walbro fuel pump and ECUtek remap, im hoping to up the power to around 310-320bhp

Just wondering from people experiences does it feel like a massive difference going from 265 to 320?

i had a ibiza cupra when i was younger that i took from 150 to 200bhp and the difference was massive will it be similar in the scoob?

Yes mate its gona be pretty dramatic,in my experience it has been anyway .The car will just feel better alround and the turbo will be allowed to stretch it legs.its all good.If you havent already got one get a boost gauge so you can see the before an after.
The drive home after is always awesome.

indeed. not just about the headline figures either. Low down grunt and pickup will probably be improved. Certainly were on mine. I got extra 30bhp but 50 torques throughout the whole rev range.

agreed, depending on your mapper, it might be so smoothly mapped that it no longer feels like a turbo car, i.e the map and the mods reducing lag so it'll pull so smooth that you wont realise how fast you're going lol. so there may be less waiting then the big bang like standard, but overall there will be loads more torque as said and it should be smoother and will improve m.p.g unless you drive with a heavy right foot lol, which you will for a few months. you having switchable maps? switched by planting throttle pedal to floor and pressing heater rear window switch. really that simple. you can get a lower (eg 1 bar) boost map and a (depending on your engine)about 1.4-1.5 bar higher boost map, with obvious benefits of each (less boost = less fuel used= better mpg)
