How did you pay for the parts?
Credit card / paypal will refund you if the other party has simply run off with your money.
If you just handed over a bag of cash on good will without seeing or getting the parts then chances are they might have done a runner.
Could always give them benefit of the doubt and see if they get in touch within the next week. Maybe they went abroad and their plane has been delayed with the ash...

I'm assuming this was a transaction on SN that circumvented the new FS forums policy and did not adhere to the following advice?
SN remains a community chat forum. We do provide forums (now as an additional perk to paying members) where private parties can stage their own transactions, but this is under the strict proviso that such transactions are independent of SN.... i.e we can't safeguard such transactions - it's still a case of "buyer beware". You'll still need to use your common sense when staging transactions! For example, you should be wary of the following:
- Attempts to solicit trading outside of the SN for sale forums (e.g. in NSR). This is NOT allowed.
- Attempts to solicit trading within a paid member's advert within the for sale forums. This is also NOT allowed.
- Similarly, links in SN forums to 3rd party sites containing for sale listings or any similar attempts to circumvent the new policy.
As far as I can see, the respondent here would be a non-paying member with 5 posts to their name and no Itrader feedback.
I'll leave this thread up here (as a courtesy to the OP) so at least the individual can see you're not happy and there is an issue to be resolved, but we're not having SN used as a forum for people who have circumvented our advice to try and elicit personal information about individuals accused of ripping them off. There is no way of substantiating such information and a completely uninvolved 3rd party may get their personal details spilled over the web!
