do i need remap after rebuild
hi all
as some of you may know my engine let go a few weeks ago so im getting it rebuilt with nitreded crank, race bearings, forged con rods, etc,
its a 99 type r and has been remamped to produce 333bhp and im wondering would another remap be required after the rebuild?

thanks for the advice
does anyone know whether its possible to have the rev limiter moved from where it is now about 8500 rpm down to about 7400rpm while getting a remap?

rev limit can be set where you like (within reason)..
it is wise to get it mapped after rebuild for a couple of reasons, firstly the changes you are making will effect the compression which will effect the required map.
Even if you rebuilt with exact items it was before the reason it failed may still be evident, say maf failure or fuel pump failure etc.
