how much bhp can my engine take?

Default how much bhp can my engine take?

i've got a v2 sti with cdb. would i need any mods for it to cope with 400bhp?

No expert but i would guess your first port of call for that level of power would be a gearbox

Yep chocholate box.

Even though you have a CDB the internals won't be forged so that's your first port of call, then when you blow the box you can think about either a PPG conversion or chuck a newage six speed on with other neccessary bits and that's pretty bullet proof.

However, until you're making some power i wouldn't bother with any of that as the engine and box should be OK for around 320-330bhp.
