Is my Type RA, a Type RA?

Is my Type RA, a Type RA?
I have a feather white classic Impreza, and I will be honest, I know nothing about it.
It has a type RA sticker on the back.
I have been looking on here to see if its a wrx ra. I am under the impression all classic type ra's are either a wrx, or a sti?
Its on an L, it's an import. Now, I have intercooler spray, manual locking, manual window, yet it has air con.
The fact it has air con led me to believe it wasn't an RA, but I since read it could have been an option.
I just want to make sure I have what I am supposed to, and don't want to call it something it isn't.
It has a spoiler and white handles, which were obviously added at some point, unless the early ones had white handles?
It has bumper spats on the rear which I added, so I know about those
It has a rectangle rear number plate recess, which I thought was odd seeing as its an import? I have since seen some for sale with this that aren't UK cars, so was wondering if that was a cost cut by Subaru?
If anyone can shine some light on what exactly model the car is that would be great

The car was registered as a Impreza GL on entry to the UK. No idea how they managed that. Thats what the V5 says.
I can't check my actual applied model number until tonight as my partner has the keys at the moment.
Providing the VIN is that of an RA, then its a just a case of mistaken identity.
Annoying.
Anyone know if you can have this changed?

mate loads of imoprts are registered with the wrong model, mineis down as a WRX even though it is a STI,,, thats why insurance dont bother with the reg check but ask you details,,,,, also why you can get mods on the car for nothing on top which i found strange when i declared mine

How can they possibly mess that up though!?
Now, it says GL on the V5, yet when I insured it I rang them and said I know its coming up your end as a GL, but its not, so told them it was an RA and they charged me accordingly.
I imagine that some people would just insure it as the GL that it was registered as, which did cross my mind, but then in the event of a claim surely insurance would be invalid? - which is why I told them to insure it as an RA.
So, am I in effect insuring it wrongly by telling them its an RA when its registered as a GL? Would they bend me over in the event of a claim saying I should have told them it was registered as a poverty GL

i wouldnt bother with the hassle of trying to chnage the v5. lots of imports are registered under a rouge name cos the dvla dont recogise any of the import models.
my 93 wrx is down as a "impreza R"
So long as you insure it as a type ra you will be fine.

As long as it doesn't affect the value of it come resale
At least now I can rest assured that it isn't a GL with a few RA bits on
Was worried that it could have been re shelled into a GL or something.
Good old DVLA!

what you've got to remember the ra was a naked wrx but had all the parts taken off as extra's, so you could still get the air con, electric windows etc added. also i'm pretty sure the the wrx ra's didn't come with a roof scoop only the sti ra's.

Now the big thing is, what is she worth on 75k.
Feather white, L reg. No rust. Standard apart from turbo timer, spoiler and some gold OZ wheels.
Would say it was mint apart from the front bumper which has some small hairline cracks in the paint where a bike rolled back into it at the lights!

Feather White was one of two WRX Type-RA colours and it was quite a rare WRX colours. The Catherine & Ken site is full of mistakes (but in fairness information was hard to find then). If the AMN ends 48D then its a WRX: if it ends 47D then it is a WRX Type-RA

Unless its an altered production WRX STI Type-RA, with a roof flap and the first appearance of DCCD - unlikely though, as youd know what that was (although itd still have a 47D ending applied model number).
