Cool 1000bhp Impreza

Apparently

Our old car seems to be getting looked after just fine in its new home in Poland. A £22,000 gearbox was its last treat !!!

http://eng.kaps-transmissions.com/ne...baru-1145.html

Not sure what its reving to in the video but the gear ratios allow the following mph @ 7500rpm, max safe rpm 9500

1st 50.6
2nd 70.7
3rd 97.4
4th 126.4
5th 162.0
6th 200.1

I've posted elsewhere that a car can never be too fast, now I'm not so sure

They spent almost as much on the gearbox as the car!

It was running approx 850bhp on the high boost Methanol map (before Nos) so 1000bhp is on the cards with the Nitrous on. I only ever ran a 70bhp shot of Nos to sharpen the spool up...... it was fast enough for an old bloke

The testing shown in the video was on V-power so either 650 or 700bhp on those runs, depending which map they were running.

I had a discussion with you about nitrous a whilst back and I remember you saying you only ran 70 nos. you explained it to me and simon in detail although it went well over my head

22K on the gearbox and 25ish K on the car, hey andy, I think you should head accross and show them how to drive the car

Must be speeded up footage. It can't be that fast with that weedy UK Turbo-style spoiler fitted.
