Default Insurance

I'm sure this has been posted on here billions of times but can't seem to find a post that quickly!!

Can anyone recommend a good insurance company???
It's not for me, mine's insured with Admiral under a multi-car policy, but my mate is struggling to get a decent quote. He's 28 with 9 years no claims but getting quoted around the £1000 mark for an import wagon!!

If anyone can sugges some companies to try that'd be awesome!

Thanks )

Tell him to call my company on 02083645500 and mention he is a member/joining member of Scoobynet, we offer a 20% discount.

Cheers for your responses gents...I will pass the info over to him!!

I'm 29 and just renewed my insurance with Admiral, got a joint policy on my Import WRX along with my BMW E36 and it's £499.
Worth checking out if anyone has a 2nd car to insure.

Also try Gary @ Keith Michaels (see the sticky in the Insurance section) and Greenlight.

Is your WRX modded?

I insure my daily rust bucket with Admiral, but always assumed that as the Impreza had (minor) modifications, Admiral wouldn't be too interested.

It's got different wheels and a different ECU but apart from that it's pretty standard mate.

Thanks.

I'll give them a try when the time comes as that is pretty much the extent of my mods too.

Greenlight and Keight Michaels are both good - though last time I spoke to Greenlight they said you needed to have driven a 200BHP+ car for the past 12 months to insure anything over 200BHP. Seems a bit stupid to me, but that's what they said.

Probein, same here, ridiculous and i've already told them so via email and pointed out the obvious flaw in their thinking.

i found Nowell & Richards pretty good.

UK TURBO2000 WAGON, standard.

i'm 25 live in Grimsby, Linconlshire. 6 points, 5yrs NCB, driving for 8 years.

Closest thing to impreza power ive had is a fabia vRS, and this is the first scoob i've owned.

they came up cheapest at £624, under cutting everyone else i tried.

im yet to make a claim but i have heard good things about them, hence why i went for it

Ive also heard nothing but good about A-plan also, but when i rang they advised most of their polocies are more suited to people who have a year or more of ownership of similar powered cars.

HTH.

Kieth Micheals (Moley) is my recommendation. My renewal came through from A-Plan and was dearer than my new quote from Moley - big thing is A-Plan didn't have the details of my upcoming mods and power hike, Moley did
