Wat Power subaru will beat the New Focus Rs
will a rb 320 do it?
they say then revo nuckle linked with the electronic diff will handle as good as a 4x4 on the focus, Wat u think guys??????

An RB 320 should. All the Hawkeye's make there power really early. A mildly tuned Sti make's good bhp & especially ft lb torque. I know the RS is a fast motor & looks the part. So does the scooby.

Was just reading elsewhere that the RS weighs in at least 1400kgs - that makes it a bit of a 'porker' for a hatchback and also that its' 0-62 is only just sub-6 seconds.
Compare that to a WR1 at 4.25 seconds.
Can't see it worrying an RB320 either. In fact my old MY99 Classic wagon looked quicker on paper!!
All a load of 'hype' perhaps until we see some quality mid-range performance figures...perhaps

I seriously have the budget to get the RA-R, but i,ve seen another Spec C i like too, only sold mine 5 months ago...

IMO subaru were on some sort off drugs when they built the new impreza (that really is just my opinun) i think it looks like it should be a proton.
And ford havent made a nice car since the sierra cosworth also just my opinun.

TBH it's been hyped up to death..BUT
EVO mag have it in this month but i havn't read the story yet...it got 5 stars in the verdict so it must be good.The ST is a VERY good car and when i drove one it handled great..felt very stable at speed and if the RS is even better than that it will be awesome.
As for what scooby would show it the door? A classic with 320 BHP...A newage with 350BHP? It's only got 300 FFS it's no rocket ship

I think it looks great.
......but at 1465kg it's pretty heavy, how will that react when thrown into an s-bend at speed, with only the front wheels for drive/traction?

if the new Impreza came out as a 4 door saloon like it always had been then this convo would not be happening.
people bought the Impreza bcoz of its history,a super saloon
people bought the focus because it was a cheap thrill and you could get your shopping in the back
Subaru realy messed up with the new Impreza,lets hope they learn from this.For the money this takes alot of beating if your going brand new
