Should I do it
Well i currently have a 02 plate Bugeye STI Prodrive only had her 4 months.
Had 4 Scoobs last year lol 2 classics 2 bugs.
Spotted this for sale its got a pretty big spec
Brand New BC coilovers
Brand New revoloutions
Newage biog brembos all round
new front mount
New hks filter
new afterburner backbox fully decatted
defi gauges
the front splitter and bumper has just been painted
rear adjustable spoiler
oil catch tank
mapped and so on
70k on her aswell
I am really fancying a 3 door classic :-) dont get me wrong i love my bug but really fancying this - was up looking round her the day and checking it out.
Clean as hell underneath and not a mark on the body
Will my insurance be more than what im paying now on my STI as its group 20 - Im only paying 800 fully comp?? Im 24 with 3 years no claims
Also my mate is 100% wanting to buy my car and has the readys lol the classic is £6k tho BUT its mentally clean.

That was the only thing kinda putting me off was the scoop lol but luckyli i have the old facelift scoops from my old bonnet downstairs :-)
Going up to drive it tomorrow :-) will see what deal they can do me if its not good im sure there is plenty more out there.

Do it mate. classics are by far the better car in my opinion and certainly the type r. i take it its got an aftermarket ecu when its mapped. stick on a afp 05-20g and s set of 740 injectors and you will no be far fae 400bhp and thats good power on the classic..

70000 miles on a classic engine. no mention of a forged build. 5 speed gearbox. a set of injectors and a 20g will get you 400hp? good luck with that one mate.
difficult one this i love classics but having owned 2 im now looking at a newage sti myself tbh i prefer the classic looks but they are getting on a bit now and i think most are getting to the stages where they start going wrong in big ways and costing far too much to put right! its down to personal preference but i also think some classics especially type r versions can be very over priced aswell.
