Sell?Keep?Spray?
Hey all,
as title suggests i dont know what to do with my classic scooby, here she is
I have had her for about 6 months now and i love her. However i think i have gone off the graphics, sorry no thats wrong i LOVE the graphics but i feel they draw to much attention to me.
So i dont know what to do, either sell and buy a blue classic, keep it silver or get it re sprayed blue. I dont really like silver classics without graphics, i do wish i had bought a classic in blue but hey ho i didnt. plus this one only has 45000 on the clock.
Whats peoples views? worth keeping silver? worth selling and buying a blue or maybe black or keep it silver.
Im very interested in peoples views

Hmmm what a dilemma. If it were me then i would rip all those stickers off and give it a damn good detailing to make it sparkle.
If you start respraying then you will lose money big time, both in the cost of spraying and the resale value.
If you dont like silver then sell it (take the decals off first as they may not appeal to the mass market ) and get a blue one - best in the long run mate

Thank you for the reply.
I don't know how long the decals have been on so I am guessing if I peal them off there maybe a slight difference in shade were the decals have been so it would need respraying silver anyway.
I don't know if I am just being picky with wanting a blue one, I have seen some very nice plain silver.
The thing I am thinking about selling is the condition and milage, if I sell mine I am not gonna find another blue or black classic with about 45000 on the clock for the money I would get for mine
Hence the dilema
What do people think about removing the decals will it leave a paint fade mark?
Any other views welcome

you wouldnt need it respayed as it lacquered ontop of the paint.take to a good valeter with the buff and rubing compound and it will come up like new.mine was silver and there is a pic on here.dont spray it as everyone will think its been smashed when you try and sell it or its a cut and shunt.

im in a similar predicament. i have a silver 93 wrx with only 56000 miles. problem is i really want a blue one (like a v limited or 555) or a white sti.
if i were you i would remove the decals as i think they look chavvy on any scooby. Then get some nice wheels cos they will change the look of the car and then you may like it again.
like you say, low milage, genuine, decent examples are hard to find now.

Take the graphics off and leave it silver, when I had my last impreza I always wished I had bought a blue one as they always seemed to be the best sellers/resellers? I then decided when I got a new one it would be blue I bought a white one and guess which one everyone likes now

Thanks guys for the feed back.
I have been looking at some pics of silver and I do like them with black wheels.
It is certainly looking like I am gonna remove the decals and polish it.
I don't think I would be able to sell it and find a good example esp as I can't afford to put cash towards it to buy a newer one at the moment!!
