Hi Everyone, i'm new here, and to be honest i don't own an Impreza (would like one, but could never afford the petrol with the personal mileage i do), however, you seem like a friendly bunch who are willing to help people, so i'll try anyway.

Can anyone tell me what those blue cameras on posts are, i see them everywhere (main route i do is Edinburgh - Nottingham every weekend via A1, A696, A68) Some of them seem to be mounted on the bridges on sections of the A1 too.
Just curious really.

Any help apprecieated.

Trafficmaster and the like use them to work out where the jams are.

Takes the middle bit of the reg number and looks for it further down the road - then works out how long it takes you to get there ... or something like that anyway

ahhhhh, i see, thanks very much, have been wondering that for ages.

Oh, and btw, not sure if the person uses this forum or not, but i regularly see a 22B running round the centre of mansfield, just thought i'd say, love the car, always amazed when i see it
