First day with my first Impreza (Terzo)
Hi all, picked up my 98 Terzo today, its totally standard, my first Impreza and its F'in great!! love it already, ive had fast cars in the past, but the impreza is huge fun, and a true performance bargain.
Me and a few mates are heading for the Nurburgring in late May and now I have the Impreza I cant wait!
With that in mind I do have one Question, Ive been told that Imprezas dont like long distance at high speed as heat builds up in the engine bay under the intercooler, Is this true? I would only imagine a 90-100mph cruise speed as want to keep fuel consumption reasonable (ish).
Thanks for reading people.

I think at any speeds over 100mph. The bonnet scoop becomes ineffective reducing the cars ability to cool and then the faster you go the hotter it goes etc etc. Im no expert but this is what tends to be the rule of thumb. Welcome to subaru by the way.. Im currently on my third.. But its been off the road 7 months and getting sick of waiting for it back.. Have fun
