also the price you mention on ebay sounds cheap, remember you need a 230mm clutch not a 225mm

Wouldnt touch the ebay clutches, lots of dodgy copies on there, go to somewhere decent for one and atleast you know you will be buying genuine and not copy and have a warranty with it.
Would look at replacing the fly wheel at the same time.

Flywheel should be given a look - but, chances are it will be fine and not need any work whatsoever - replacing a good flywheel is madness and only for the ****.

Skim it, by all means, but only if it shows signs of heat .... most will not need it, waste of money.

Get a good standard clutch ... and a decent garage experienced in fitting clutches ... it's a simple job ... £150 Fitting I would guess?

5mm

Wouldn't touch eBay crap as far as clutches are concerned. Use a respected Scoob shop for a clutch kit and you have some comeback over crappy Chinese copies on the bay.

think it will fit but it wont be the correct one for your car.

because the 230mm has a bigger surface area you get better performance from the clutch.

or at least i think!

225mm clutch will fit and work fine, but it is fitted with a 230mm clutch as standard. 230mm clutch will handle more torque.

If you can talk a mobile mechanic into doing it you may get away with as little as £100 labour, if a garage is doing it, expect to pay around £200.
