hi all

Is there any tmics from newer versions of the sti version 5 that are a direct swap without any parts needing changed?

Ive heard about the newage wrx ones and was wondering if thatd be worthwhile and if it would fit?

Just thinking about little mods that might help before Mr forrest maps it for me

You can fit a newage STI intercooler but it's a right tricky bugger, a newage WRX one may be easier to fit.. anything bigger is going to be better so if you can get a wrx one cheap enough then why not. Just make sure you make a good seal where it fits the underside of the bonnet.

A front mount would probably be easier to fit than a newage STI top mount on a V5 STI

thanks for the quick response. I heard about the version 8 tmics etc and all the work needed so im not into that. Would the new age tmic be a relatively straight forward swap apart from the rubber bonnet scoop shroud? Or would some imaginative spannering be required!
